  • Schubert Club

Each season, Music in the Park Series presents a series of chamber music concerts in our acoustically and architecturally superb sanctuary, "home" to the series since 1979. This intimate setting makes possible a connection between performers and audiences that cannot be duplicated in larger halls and offers listeners a rare opportunity to enjoy one of the richest and most varied forms of musical literature. Through imaginative and varied programming, traditional chamber music, jazz, new compositions, and popular music are all available in a context which links rather than separates them. It is this special quality about the series that draws composers, performers, and audience members alike to the Church.

For decades, Music in the Park Series and The Schubert Club collaborated on artistic projects. In July 2010 the organizations merged to become one. Music in the Park Series is now part of The Schubert Club, and it continues to flourish under their leadership.

State and National Partners

  • MN Conference of the UCC

Our church is a deeply dedicated member of the Minnesota Conference of the United Church of Christ. It is one way we join our voice with congregations across the state to work for justice, and to support our mission of offering "extravagant welcome" to everyone, regardless of where they are on their faith journey.

St. Anthony Park UCC is a "5 For 5" congregation, contributing to five special offerings each year:

    Our Church's Wider Mission
    Neighbors in Need
    One Great Hour of Sharing
    Strengthen the Church
    The Christmas Fund

Every June, SAPUCC sends Pastor Victoria and two delegates (one adult, one youth) to the Conference's Annual Meeting, and several of our members volunteer their time and expertise in support of key board and committee activities.

SAPUCC is part of a national denomination, comprising over 5,000 churches and nearly one million members.

    From the National UCC website:

    A Church of Extravagant Welcome
We believe in a God that is still speaking, a God that is all-loving and inclusive. We are a church that welcomes and accepts everyone as they are, where your mind is nourished as much as your soul. We are a church where Jesus the healer meets Jesus the revolutionary, and where together, we grow a just and peaceful world.

    PURPOSE:
To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22)

    VISION:
United in Christ’s love, a just world for all.

    MISSION:
United in Spirit and inspired by God’s grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all.
